Brussel sprouts look like small-cute heads of cabbage and are actually a cross between kale and classic cabbage. Despite its miniature size, it contains quite excellent levels of vitamin C and vitamin K, with more moderate amounts of B vitamins, such as folic acid and vitamin B6. As an added benefit, it is also said to increase fertility! 😉 Unfortunately, most people don’t know about all these nutritional qualities because Brussel sprouts are easily overcooked. When this happens, the vibrant green colour turns grey, it becomes very soft in texture, and it develops a strong flavour and odour that can turn some people off — and often puts it on the blacklist of most children. To avoid this, you can try cooking it the polish way! 🙂 perhaps they will appreciate this deliciously cute veggie!
